Years ago, I learned that if we don’t choose change, life eventually chooses it for us, and it usually comes through painful experiences.
So when my heart was telling me that it was time for something new, I knew I couldn’t ignore it anymore.
It still took years to act.
Two years ago, I finally made the decision.
And now, I’m living inside the change I once feared.
The Weight of Leaving
I’ve been quiet these last two months because I moved out of the home I lived in for 21 years. The idea of something new felt exciting, but letting go… that was harder than I expected.
I avoided packing for as long as I could.
And when the pictures finally came off the wall, the grief hit me all at once. I needed a whole day just to breathe through it.
My introverted side took over. I pulled back from friends and work, not because I didn’t care, but because I didn’t have the words yet. I needed time to sit with the memories, feel the loss, and let myself release the version of me that lived there.
It wasn’t just a move.
It was a shedding.
A necessary step into the unknown so the next version of me could come forward.
Have you ever been in a similar space wanting more, but struggling to let go of what you’ve known?

A New Beginning
Now I’m in my new home with my furry baby, Rocco.
We’re settling in slowly and gently.
Writing this newsletter again feels like a quiet return to myself.
I’m excited to get back to the work I love: teaching drawing, creating, and picking up the projects I put on pause while life was rearranging me.
There’s much more I want to share, but for now, this feels like the right place to begin again.
Life shifted, but I’m still here: growing, creating, and ready to let this next chapter unfold.
In creativity and growth,
Claudia

Love it, Claudia
